Terms of Service
Effective October 1, 2026
Please read these terms before using localbusinessaudit.com. They explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and LocalBusinessAudit (“we”, “us”). [To be completed: registered company name, entity type and registered address] By running an audit, creating an account or otherwise using localbusinessaudit.com (the “Service”), you agree to them. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
Business customers on a paid plan are also covered by our Master Service Agreement, which takes priority over these terms where the two differ. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. The Service
The Service runs automated audits of a business's online presence and produces reports with scores, findings and recommendations. It uses the website's public pages and information from third parties such as Google. We may add, change or remove features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce a paid plan.
3. Accounts
- You must give accurate information and confirm your email address.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done under your account.
- If you invite people to a team, you are responsible for their use of your workspace. They share its reports, clients and monthly audits.
- Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- get around usage limits, for example by creating multiple accounts or disguising your network address;
- use the Service to attack, overload or probe any website or system, or audit a website for an unlawful purpose;
- copy, scrape or resell the Service or its output, except that you may share reports with the businesses they concern and, on plans that include it, present them under your own brand;
- send reports or other messages through the Service to people who have not agreed to hear from you, or otherwise break anti-spam, marketing or privacy laws;
- upload anything you do not have the right to use, or anything unlawful, misleading or harmful;
- reverse engineer the Service or interfere with its operation.
We may suspend or limit an account that breaks these rules or puts the Service or others at risk.
5. Plans and limits
Each plan includes a number of audits per calendar month, shown on our pricing page. Visitors without an account may run a limited number of free audits. Unused audits do not carry over. Batch audits, client audits and competitor audits each count toward your monthly total.
6. Payment, renewal and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep your plan until then.
- If you change plans during a billing period, the price difference is charged or credited in proportion to the time remaining.
- Prices exclude taxes, which are added where they apply.
- We may change prices. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change affects your renewal, and you can cancel before it does.
- If a payment fails we may move the account to the Free plan until it is resolved.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
7. About audit results
Audits are produced automatically from publicly available information at a point in time. They may be incomplete or wrong: for example, a tool installed on a website may not be detected, a Google listing may be matched to the wrong branch, and rankings vary by searcher and location. Impact and effort figures are general estimates.
Reports are information to help you decide what to do. They are not professional advice, and we do not promise any particular ranking, traffic, lead volume or revenue from acting on them.
8. Your content and ours
You keep ownership of what you provide, such as business details, client lists and branding. You give us permission to use it to run the Service for you. You confirm you have the right to provide it.
We own the Service, including its software, scoring methods, design and name. You may use the reports generated for you in your business. Nothing in these terms transfers our intellectual property to you.
9. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties, including Google, Stripe and Resend. Their availability and data are outside our control, and your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's terms.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Service, in which case we will give reasonable notice and refund any period you have paid for but not received. Sections that by their nature should continue after the agreement ends will do so.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect, special or consequential loss, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and US$100. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of content you provided, messages you sent through the Service, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
[To be completed: governing law and courts (state or country)]
