Where to paste the code

WordPress

Paste it into a header-code plugin, or your theme's "header scripts" setting. If an SEO plugin already adds LocalBusiness schema, use one or the other, not both.

Wix, Squarespace and others

Most builders have a custom-code or "code injection" setting for the page head. Add it to the homepage, or the contact page if that is where your address appears.

A hand-built site

Paste it into the page's HTML, inside the <head> or just before </body>. It is invisible to visitors and doesn't change how the page looks.

What it does, and what it doesn't

LocalBusiness schema doesn't move you up the map results by itself. It removes doubt: it states your name, address, phone number and hours in a form machines read without guessing, which helps Google match your website to your Business Profile and helps AI assistants describe you accurately.

Google ignores star ratings that a business marks up about itself, so this generator leaves reviews out.

Keep it matching

Every detail in the code should match what visitors see on the page and what your Google Business Profile says. If you have several locations, give each location page its own code with that location's address and phone number.

Our free audit checks whether your site has structured business details, along with the rest of your local search basics. See the Search Visibility checks.
