Connect Google to see real search and traffic figures

Link Search Console, Analytics and Business Profile to a business, and see clicks, visits, calls and reviews beside its audit.

Freelancer, Agency and Scale · about 10 min · In the app: Search and traffic

Connect an account

  1. Open Tools → Search and traffic and press “Connect Google”.
  2. Choose the Google account that has access to the business's Search Console, Analytics or Business Profile.
  3. Leave ticked the permissions you want to use. You can untick any of them.
  4. You come back to the page with the account connected. Only the team's owner and admins can connect or disconnect accounts.

Link a business to its properties

Choose the business at the top of the page. Its Search Console property and Business Profile listing are found automatically when the website address matches.

To choose them yourself, or to pick the Analytics property, press “Change”, choose from the lists and save.

Several Google accounts

An agency usually needs more than one: its own, and each client's. Press “Connect another Google account” to add up to ten. Each business remembers which account each of its properties is read with, and the lists under “Change” show which account every property belongs to.

What you see

  • Google Search: clicks, times shown, click rate and average position for the latest 28 days against the 28 before, with the top search terms and pages.
  • Website visitors: visits, visitors, key events and where visits came from.
  • Google Business Profile: profile views, calls, website clicks, direction requests and reviews.
  • A twelve-month trend for each.

Reply to reviews

Under Google Business Profile, reviews waiting for a reply are listed. Owners and admins can write a reply, have one drafted by AI, and post it publicly on Google. Replies can be edited or deleted here afterwards.

If something is missing

  • An empty list under “Change” usually means the connected Google account doesn't have access to that property. Ask the property's owner to add the account in Search Console or Analytics, then try again.
  • “Wasn't ticked when Google was connected” means that permission was unticked on Google's screen. Connect again and leave it ticked.
  • Search Console figures arrive from Google a few days late.
